Students in grades one through five receive instruction each week in our well-equipped technology labs. Different technology areas are taught using the computer as a tool to complete lessons and projects. Students use computers in the labs, classroom, and the library in a variety of ways. MCS has a school wide Ethernet as well as WIFI network to support connectivity of all current devices and hardware. Connected devices used by the school are SMART Boards, Chromebooks, Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers, IPads, and more. MCS has two state of the art computer labs for instruction and projects. All classrooms have computers and other digital resources for students to use.
The students receive two class periods per week of technology instruction. Our technology teacher works with the classroom teachers to design integrated projects across the curriculum areas.. Building on their elementary training, students use more advanced computer applications with the goal of incorporating technology into their schoolwork and everyday life.
